, wellbeing, support and community for actors
Together let's create, connect and thrive, both on and off the stage.
So what IS Acting Between the Lines?
Acting Between the Lines is an online hub created to support actors through every stage of their journey, both on and off the stage.
We provide thoughtfully designed resources, tools, and products to help actors build confidence, strengthen their craft, and navigate the realities of the industry. From self-care and managing career anxiety to line-learning techniques, audition preparation, and overcoming stage fright, everything we create is designed to help actors feel prepared, motivated, and empowered.
But we're more than just a collection of resources.
At the heart of Acting Between the Lines is a thriving community built on connection rather than competition. We believe the industry is stronger when actors support one another, so we've created a space where performers can network, collaborate on projects, share opportunities, celebrate successes, and build meaningful creative relationships.
Our mission is simple: to give actors the tools they need to succeed, the confidence to keep going, and a community that reminds them they never have to do it alone.
Hi, I'm Chelsey.
I founded Acting Between the Lines because I wanted to create something I felt was missing in our industry: a supportive space where actors feel seen, supported, and equipped to look after their mental wellbeing.
I'm a 31-year-old actress from Manchester, and my journey began when I was 16. I trained in Acting for Camera at the Arden School of Theatre and have since worked across theatre, Theatre in Education, and television.
Acting is an incredible career, but it can also be emotionally demanding. Through my own experiences, I've come to understand just how important resilience, self-care, and a strong support network are. That's what inspired me to create a space that offers not only practical resources but genuine encouragement for actors at every stage of their journey.
Alongside wellbeing resources, my vision has always been to build a community where actors can connect, collaborate, celebrate each other's successes, and lift one another through the challenges. Because this industry is competitive, but it doesn't have to be lonely.
Thank you for being here and for becoming part of this community. I'm so excited to grow Acting Between the Lines with you.

From the community

Finally a space that treats the actor as a whole person, not just a showreel. The guide got me through a brutal pilot season.
Chelsey has built something genuinely warm here. I came for the resources and stayed for the people.
The community side is what's missing everywhere else. I feel less alone in this industry than I have in years.
